Spring 1883 is a modern art fair inspired by the traditions of the Gramercy Park Fair now The Armory show New York, to present the best of contemporary art practice from Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Established in 2014 by enthusiastic gallerists, Spring 1883 was first held at the Hotel Windsor in Melbourne which was built on Spring Street in 1883.

The second in 2015 was held at The Establishment Hotel in Sydney.

The event is on in Melbourne again this year and back at Hotel Windsor.

The art is installed in and around the rooms of the hotel in a most unique way making it feel very accessible.
