It's been more than 6 months since BV physically left Brisbane, but Cindy Sherman is calling me back for a visit!
Do these ladies remind you of anyone you know? ;)
Cindy Sherman is a renowned American photographer and film director, best known for her conceptual portraits.
These self portraits (above) are a perfect example of her work where Cindy has undertaken a character study and transformed herself at the subject.
Cindy Sherman has been cited as being a huge influence on contemporary artists including people like Ryan Trecartin and her work is held in the world's best galleries including The Tate, The Museum of Modern Art and The Pompidou.
The Cindy Sherman Exhibition is showing exclusively in Australia at GoMA until the 3rd of October.
