Concrete Agenda @ C3 Contemporary Artspace, Melbourne
The C3 Contemporary Artspace is located within the grounds of
the beautiful Abbotsford Convent, the large multi-arts precinct.
This particular group show which opened on Wednesday night
is located in Space B and was wonderfully curated by artist
Tai Snaith. I wanted to take everything home!
The 9 Melbourne based artists working within the field of abstraction
included:
Belle Bassin
Olga Bennett
Emily Ferretti
Pia Murphy
Nell Pearson
Laura Skerlj
Kate Tucker
Alice Wormald
Tai Snaith
I first saw Kate Tucker’s work when she was a finalist in the Churchie Emerging Art Prize a few years ago and have been in love ever since!
Laura Skerlj, another one of my local favourites who seems to paint themes from nature which are colour drenched and almost psychedelic.
Concrete Agenda is showing now until July the 17th and all the details are here.
