Isabella Blow: A Fashionable Life

There was so much talk about Isabella Blow after Alexander McQueen died. They had a very close and important relationship.
Isabella had bought McQueen’s entire graduate collection so helping launch his career.
She had been one of those style icons that I had admired through the 1990’s.Wearing fashion as art and as a cultural statement without reservation.
I thought we had almost pushed the limit with fashion exhibitions of late, but I am very keen to see this one which is showing exclusively in Australia at the Powerhouse Museum.
The private collection features around 45 of her outfits with looks from Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, Hussein Chalayan, Julien Macdonald and more.
The exhibition is showing now at the Powerhouse Museum until the 28th of August.
