They did the math and the answer = Kozha Numbers

Portland based friends Ilona Gerasimov and Lena Vasilenko took a long road trip out to Big Sur a few years ago when they hatched a plan to leave their accounting jobs and start an accessory brand.

They spent the next year working on designs and researching leathers, finishes and production techniques and launched Kozha Numbers in 2015.

Kozha means leather in their native Balkan.

Numbers and the ten digits are used to represent their staple products, just like the first ten fundamental digits, they hope that their bags will become a fundamental part of your wardrobe.

The finished designs are minimal yet striking.

Using responsibly source materials, the pieces are manufactured by Ilona and Lena and a small team in Portland, keeping production smaller but maintaining quality and peace of mind as to where and how their products are made.

The girls have kept things manageble with a core collection of only four bag styles, a simple wallet and card case. Keeping it simple lets their design ethos do the talking.

The core styles are available in black with limited edition colours released seasonally.

As I'm writing this, I've seen an exclusive white colourway get released on Need Supply!

The bags are made from smooth, box calf leather using polished metal ring handles or rubber strap handles.

All styles are finished with their distinctive Kozha Numbers gold stamp and arrive in an organic cotton dust bag.

Kozha Numbers are available from there own site here or at Need Supply in Virginia, The Frankie Shop in NY and Reformation in LA.
