Her graduate collection caught my eye back then and we were lucky enough to loan some of the one off pieces for an installation in Blonde Venus in 2009!
Post college, Louise launched a beautiful shirt collection which BV fans may also remember. Made in Italy from beautiful crisp white cotton, the shirts were inspired by traditional shirting with an avant gard lean.
This led to a design role with Burberry focusing on shirting but by 2014, Louise was keen to work on her own brand again and launched a small but full line of ready to wear including accessories.
Her clothing still draws from shirting, workwear and utility traditions but with incredible colour, an attribute that Louise as carried on from her graduate collection. There is also a definite nod to the 70's which I love!
Each seasonal collection doesn't change that dramatically but inspires to build a wardrobe of fun, utility pieces in a fantastic colour palette.
2019 will see the opening of the first LF Markey flagship boutique in Dalston, London but for now, you can shop the collection on line here.
