Last night I had the pleasure of going to a preview screening of new Turkish film Mustang at Cinema Nova courtesy of Triple R.
In a small village in Northern Turkey, 5 free spirited orphan sisters live happily until the eldest start reaching adulthood. Their conservative guardians close guard.
The girls are made to live under strict rule while the family start preparing their arranged marriages.
Directed by Deniz Gamze Erguven and with a perfectly subtle, beautiful soundtrack by Warren Ellis, the story flows with outstanding performances from the 5 gorgeous young actors.
Mustang has had many accolades including nominations for Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.
Mustang is opening around the country in shortly so watch the trailer here and check your favourite cinema for screenings.
