naidoc week 2016

Lani Balzan, a proud Wiradjuri Aboriginal woman from NSW, is this year’s winner of the prestigious National NAIDOC Poster Competition, pictured above.

Read Lani's story here.

NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee.

It is a special time to particularly celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and  to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our society.

NAIDOC Week runs from the 3rd until the 10th of July.

You can check the website here, find out what's happening in your area and make the most of the celebrations!
