The Melbourne Writer's Festival
The Melbourne Writer’s Festival is on from Friday the 26th of August until
Sunday the 4th of September.
I’m mentioning it now because some events have already sold out…
like P J Harvey presenting her poetry The Hollow of the Hand with photojournalist
Seamus Murphy reflecting their travels to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington DC
a few years ago.
This is Polly Harvey’s only Australian date announced so far and it's non musical.
I have been following her Twitter updates hoping to hear about an Australian tour for her new album The Hope Six Demolition Project.
I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer for that :)
The Melbourne Writer’s Festival does, of course have about 349 other wonderful events on including Alexei Sayle, Lionel Shriver, Richard Flanagan, Christos Tsiolkas, Benjamin Law and much much more.
