Claire Barrow - Broken Machines SS16

Claire Barrow is renowned for her luxury hand-painted leather and unique illustrated aesthetic. Barrow’s design ethos of ‘do-it-yourself’ is both culturally and politically engaging, acting as a visual reflection of the evolution of British subculture. 

Born in Stockton-On-Tees, Claire Barrow moved to London in 2008 to study Fashion at the University of Westminster. She made her London Fashion Week debut with Fashion East for Spring/Summer 2013 and then exhibited on schedule at London Fashion Week every season until Autumn/Winter 16 after receiving NEWGEN sponsorship through the British Fashion Council.

After working between two lives as an artist and a fashion designer, Claire announced that she had decided to pull back from the restraints of seasonal fashion showings and present work as it evolves to free up any creative restraints.
